Saturday morning, sometime in the 90s. Cartoons on the telly, pyjamas still on at 10am, and a bowl of technicolour cereal rings turning the milk a suspicious shade of pink. If that sentence just transported you, welcome. This one is for you. Froot Loops is one of our most requested scents, and it smells exactly like the memory.
What Froot Loops Smells Like
The store-listed notes are lemon zest, lime, lily of the valley, vanilla and malt. On paper that reads like a fairly polite fragrance. In the room, it smells like someone opened a fresh box of fruity cereal right next to you. The citrus does the bright, zingy top end. The vanilla and malt underneath are the clever bit: that is the "cereal" part, the sweet grainy base that makes it smell like breakfast rather than lemonade.
It fills a room fast and it makes people smile. We have lost count of the number of customers who tell us their kids walked in and asked who was eating cereal.
The Saturday Morning Memory
There was a very specific ritual to it. Up before your parents, volume down low, sitting too close to the screen. The cereal was half the event. The box had a toy in it if you were lucky, and you dug for it with an arm shoved in up to the elbow, milk-adjacent and unbothered.
Smell is wired straight into memory, which is why one whiff of this scent lands you back on the loungeroom carpet quicker than any rerun could. That is the whole point of it. It is a cartoon marathon in a warmer.
Weekend mornings, obviously. Also brilliant for kids' birthday parties, rainy school holiday days, and any afternoon that needs a lift. One cube for smaller rooms, two for open plan, and stir the warm pool to reactivate the fragrance when your nose stops noticing it.
Every Way to Get Your Froot Loops Fix
Froot Loops comes in three formats at Jaspa, so you can pick your delivery method: classic wax melts for the warmer, a liquid wax melt for squeeze-and-go ease, and a room spray for instant hits of cereal-aisle joy.
Getting the Most From It
-
Start with one cube
Froot Loops is a strong thrower. One cube handles a bedroom or study; save the second for open plan spaces.
-
Mind the flame
If you use a tea light warmer, never leave the flame unattended. For bedrooms and kids' rooms, an electric warmer is the way to go.
-
Liquid means low
The liquid wax melt is already in fragrance-ready form, so gentle warmth is all it needs. High heat burns the fragrance off faster.
-
Rotate your scents
Swap in something different each week so your nose keeps noticing. Froot Loops always smells brand new after a few days apart.
